FIFA Soccer 12 is a polished soccer sim for iPad in which you get to chase glory as a player and a manager.
Without question, FIFA Soccer 12 is the best so far in EA's series of iOS soccer games. The gameplay has been improved even further by the addition of 360-degree player movement and gesture-based controls that allow you to make passes, shots and skill moves with great precision.
Defending has been tweaked in FIFA Soccer 12 for iPad, bringing it more in line with the tactical approach taken by the PC and console version of FIFA 12. It can be frustrating at first, but you soon realize it makes the game more skilful.
Another great addition to FIFA Soccer 12 is the ability to control the iPad version using two iPhones. Acting as Bluetooth controllers, you can enjoy two-player FIFA battles just as comfortably as you can on a console. Of course, you do need to have all three devices to enjoy this feature, though.
In terms of game modes, FIFA Soccer 12 has more than ever to offer. Manager mode has been added to version 12, giving you the challenge of taking charge of one of 500 officially licensed teams from 22 licensed leagues and leading them to glory.
There's also a Daily Challenge mode in FIFA Soccer 12, linked to the EA Origin network, along with achivements, trophies, replays, and more.
In terms of its looks, FIFA Soccer 12 improves upon the previous release. The whole thing is nicely presented, with a slick menu interface (similar to that of the main version of FIFA 12), featuring some great songs. In-game graphics look very crisp, although some of the animation feels a little sluggish at times, especially when players are running with the ball.
FIFA Soccer 12 must go down as the most consumate and complete iOS soccer games so far.
